These Fashion Trends we won’t give up in 2017
Friday 10 February 2017
Spring is almost here, bringing back the age-old question : what will we wear this Summer? What’s the lastest trend to shop? I have some good news : it might already be in your closet! This season, we’ll still use and abuse some of the pieces in which we invested last year. Follow my guide to discover which trends we refuse to give up in 2017!
Ankle-crop Flare Jeans
The fashion world has been invaded by these flared jeans, usually high-waisted and hem-frayed at the ankle (even better if you frayed it yourself). They have their lovers and haters, but I am confident that its casual style is ideal for the Summer and will convince more than one fashionista. Style it with flat sandals such as birkenstocks and you’ll have the perfect cool LA-girl uniform. For a more dressy look, wear it with mocassins (another hit of the Summer) or pumps.
Off-the-Shoulder
We might have seen it everywhere last Summer, still, we could not imagine the Summer 2017 without the off-the-shoulder trend. But don’t worry, if you are tired of the overseen ruffle off-the-shoulder top, there are plenty of new and interesting versions that don’t feel dated. My favorite one is a ribbed knit pullover with a tight fit.
Velvet
Who said that velvet was a Winter fabric? Not when it comes in bodysuits, slip dresses or in small touches on our accessories! This Summer again, we will fall for this luminous and rich fabric, preferably in nude colors that will highlight our tan skin.
Mules
The Summer 2017 will be in mules or will never be! My favorite version : flat leather mules, like slip-on, which is to me the creme de la creme of a casual-chic style (wear it with the ankle crop flare jeans mentioned earlier!)
Pajama Dressing
I agree with you, the pajama dressing trend is way easier to wear when your name is Chiara Ferragni or Kendall Jenner…you can’t picture yourself wearing the top + bottom combo to the office? Choose a pajama shirt, which will go perfectly with your jeans or summer skirts. And if there’s ONE rule to follow when wearing the pajama trend: always style it with chic and sophisticated accessories: heels, a clutch bag, a blazer…
