The fashion trends that we will be wearing during the summer 2018
Friday 2 February 2018
Winter only started a few weeks ago, but our eyes are already turned towards Summer 2018! I have carefully observed the SS18 runways, and as usual, some major trends are standing out. First of all, this year we won’t be wearing the boho romantic trend. In 2018, fashion designers are celebrating a modern, contemporary woman, who is confident and dares to wear strong pieces.
I have listed my 10 favorite trends below.
1. The check print…in a Summer version!
The check print was everywhere this season and we will keep wearing it this Summer with colorful and cheerful colors.

Prabal Burung, Burberry, Marni
2. Black and white
A timeless look, revisited on pure lines and graphic silhouettes this Summer.

Alexandre Vauthier, Saint-Laurent, Isabel Marant
3. Lavender Mania
The lavender color is making a come-back! We love this soft pastel shade that goes perfectly with white.

The Row, Roberto Cavalli, Michael Kors
4. Fantastic plastic
If Chanel says so…we can only go for it! This Summer, we dare to wear transparent plastic fabrics, especially on our accessories (shoes and bags…).

Chanel, Dior, Salvatore Ferragamo
5. The new Trench Coat
Parisian girls, who can’t live without their trench coat, will love this: the classic piece is on every runway this season in more modern and edgy cuts, colors and designs.

Victoria Beckham, Nina Ricci, Martin Margiela
6. Feathers
Out fringes or faux fur! This season, feathers are the new thing to bring a couture twist to our looks.

Nina Ricci, Saint-Laurent, Ann Demeulemeester
7. Happy Socks
Only a few bold fashionistas and trendsetters had dared to wear socks with open shoes so far…but this Summer we should all give it a try! Choose lurex or tulle socks, mix colors and be creative!

Fendi, Gucci, Missoni
8. Think Pink
Another major color this Summer: pink! To avoid looking like a Barbie, you should only wear it on masculine, androgynous pieces such as a suit or a sweater.

Christopher Kane, Victoria Beckham, Missoni
9. The asymmetrical dress
Out « off-the-shoulder » trend, this Summer we will cover one shoulder with an asymmetrical top or dress.

Alexandre Vauthier, Fendi, Isabel Marant
10. Sportswear
We take the sportswear trend to the next level with light and waterproof raincoats to wear as Summer jackets.

Celine, Valentino, Tod’s
