LEOPARD PRINT: MY FAVORITE PIECES OF THE SEASON
Let’s face it: the leopard print has become way more than a trend. Every season fashion magazine claim its big come-back, while in reality it never left the fashion racks. We can then consider that it slowly made its way to the rank of basic print, just like the stripes or the dots. What changes, though, is how we are wearing the leopard print in 2018. We used to wear it on a faux fur coat, or as an accessory (shoes or bag), in small touches. But this Winter, we dare to wear leopard all over: on slim pants, midi skirts, high boots or even full leopard outfits. Some designers also came out with colorful animal prints (red, pink, green) to bring modernity and originality. Need inspiration? Check out my favorite street styles spotted on influencers rocking the leopard trend:
A LONG LEOPARD DRESS
Yes to the long leopard dress, as long as you balance it out with casual accessories or shoes (sneakers, oversized jacket) like @STELLAWANTSTODIE.
Hello 90’s revival! High rise leopard pants are all the rage but choose a straight model, more tasteful than ultra-skinny leopard pants. Bring an edgy vibe with a hoodie like @lauralbouy.
RED LEOPARD PRINT
If you’re not really digging the classic tawny leopard print, fall for a modern and bright iteration in red, pink or orange! @slipintostyle nailed the trend in this red leopard dress.
A LEOPARD BLOUSE
It’s the easiest option to wear, obviously. The leopard blouse matches almost everything: jeans, high rise skirt, black slacks, or everything in a caramel, ochre tone (the main trend of the season, as seen on @lost_in_vogue in this Fall-ish look).
A LEOPARD MIDI SKIRT
I am sure that you noticed the avalanche of photos of influencers wearing the Realisation Par leopard skirt last Summer. Cute, but pretty expensive, right. Good news is that numerous brands since launched their version of the animal print skirt, for a much more affordable price! Wear it with booties and a big chunky sweater.
Wearing leopard on your clothes is not for you, but you still want to follow the trend: think leopard boots, like the model @anja-rubik, who is rocking her booties with a black outfit. You can also be bold and mix prints! (tip: leopard goes very well with stripes).
