How to wear… Pink this summer
Friday 24 February 2017
Attention, romantics! Be glad, because this Summer, pink is the new white. But not any kind of pink: pale, soft, pastel or antique pink are taking over the fashion collections (even though I noticed some beautiful fushia here and there). You’re tempted, but you don’t wanna look like a barbie? There are a few simple rules to follow to wear pink the modern and trendy way:
1. Wear pink on masculine clothes, like a bomber jacket or straight trousers. The boyish style will contrast with the girly color.
2. Play it oversize: a maxi-sweater that reveals the shoulder, a long pleated skirt…wearing oversized pink pieces is a clever way to break « cute little girl » image.
3. Dare surprising and bold combos ! One of my favorite : wear a long pink « tutu » with sneakers, a men’s tee-shirt and a black leather jacket.
4. And if you wanna play it safe, think accessories ! Pink is really pretty and easy-to-wear on sandals or bags.
I’ve gathered below a few looks (spotted on Pinterest) that should inspire you, but if you’re still hesitating, book a Personal Shopping session with me and I’ll help you find the perfect pieces for your Spring wardrobe!
