You got it, this month is all about the Holiday season on the blog!

We already solved the case of your party outfit here, and now it’s time to choose your makeup to end 2016 on a high note. What’s fun about holiday makeup is that you can be bold and dare a touch of fantasy: dramatic eyes, ultra-glossy and colored lips, glitter…the key is to learn how to balance it out! I love these 3 Holiday makeup looks, because they are fun and festive, and yet elegant. And now…let’s dance!

1. Red Alert

For your holiday makeup, few things are as timeless, inescapable and glamorous as red, vibrant lips! I highly recommend that you choose a long-lasting lipstick with a shiny finish over a gloss (which will end on your champagne glass, not on your lips), and go light for the rest of your makeup: for the complexion, use a brightening primer under your foundation, and a touch a rosy blush on your cheeks for a healthy glow. Enhance the eyes with a bright, iridescent eyeshadow, and accentuate the look with an eyeliner.

2. Smokin’ Hot Smoky Eye

If you’d rather accentuate your eyes than your lips, go for a mysterious and rock smoky eye!

The easiest way to do it is to choose an eyeshadow palette that will emphasize your eye color: for instance, I like black/dark grey on blue eyes, and brown/gold on brown eyes. Make sure that your smoky eye also matches your holiday outfit! My tip for an even more festive finish: tap a gold or silver shimmery eyeshadow in the corner of the eye. And since you want all eyes to be on YOUR eyes, finish your makeup with a discreet nude gloss.

3 . Yes to Glitter!

When will you wear glitter, if not during the holidays? Let’s have fun and add glitz, pigments and glitter to your makeup, as long as you apply it on only one area of your face (the eyelid, for instance). Here’s a little tip to fix your glitter eyeshadow: use an eyeshadow primer first, you won’t have to worry about your makeup all night long!
