8 FW17 Fashion Trends to wear now!
Tuesday 5 September 2017
I am back in Paris, and the fresh temperatures reminded me that Fall is right around the corner…where did my Summer holidays go? However, the perspective of discovering the Fall collections and picking new pieces to add to my wardrobe is always exciting! So… what are we going to wear this season? A combination of basics who make their big return (hello checked grey blazer!), and statement pieces to elevate our outfits. Here’s a (very short) list of the fashion trends worth noting:
THE CHECKED GREY BLAZER
I love the return of the « Business girl » style, wearing an austere-looking grey suit. Wear it oversized, over jeans to make it look effortlessly chic.

My personal crush: Anine Bing’s plaid blazer
RED …..HEAD TO TOE
Yes to red to fire up our wardrobe! I love this color that highlights most complexions, and looks great with grey, camel, jeans, beige….

My personal crush: a ruffled dress from IRO Paris
POLKA DOTS
OK, polka dots were never really « out of style »…but they’re back more than ever this season!
The only rule: they must be black and white. Wear it on tops, pants, or all-over if you’re a real fashionista!

My personal crush: a long polka dot dress by Realisation Par
XXL EARRINGS
Last season was all about maxi-necklaces, but this year our earrings are going oversized! Loop earrings are the major trend, but they also come in so many cool designs and fabrics: tassels, velvet, asymmetrical earrings…

My personal crush: velvet earrings by Zara
RED BOOTS
Why wearing classic black over-the-knee boots…when you can wear red ones ? This season, red boots are the masterpiece of your outfits.

My personal crush: Mango over-the-knee boots.
LAMÉ
We loved to wear silver, gold, sparkles, glitter…. we will ADORE the lamé trend that does bring a glam-rock touch to any outfit. I recommend wearing it in small touches (a lamé top with jeans for instance) or on an accessory.

My personal crush: a top from &Other Stories
A BEIGE COAT
Masculine, cape, overcoat, robe…whatever the design, this season’s coat will come in all different shades of ultra-chic beige.

My personal crush: a luminous beige cashmere coat from Maxmara. It’s an investment but totally worth it, you will wear it year after year!
MID-HEEL BOOTS
We will be swapping our block heels for these thin, pointy booties.

My personal crush: Zara boots
