10 Fashion trends you can’t miss for the Summer 2019

In fashion, new season means new trends: colors, shapes, prints…the Summer 2019 collections are getting more and more creative and bold. A few pieces already stand out as absolute must-haves: I broke down for you 10 major trends of the season.

 Tie Dye

Spotted on Stella Mc Cartney ou Dior’s runways, this particular technique of dying clothes, that has been associated with the hippie movement for years, is all the rage this season in an urban-chic version. Wear it ideally on a silky and flowy piece.

Celebrated by Balmain or Isabel Marant, the total denim look is the natural extension of the Western trend that was so popular this Winter. Be bold and mix denims to be cutting-edge.

If you wonder what color of the Summer will be, stop looking: it’s PINK (preferably fuchsia)! Dare to wear it on a suit or a dress – embrace it because it brings joy to your outfit and glow to your complexion!

Tops with organdi long sleeves, dresses with cotton or lace veil yokes…we subtlety undress while revealing our body under transparent and ultra-light fabrics.

Never really old-fashioned, the oversized blazer still stands out this season. Wear it like a light coat, over the shoulders, on a Summer dress.

Last Summer, we celebrated neutral tones, but this season we will be wearing caramel, ocher and spicy tones. My tip: mix neutral tones (white, beige, camel) with earthy colors (burned orange, caramel…) for a very chic allure. It will also allow you to recycle your pieces from last year!

Plunging V-neck

Praised by Jacquemus, the deep neckline (we’re talking deep to the belly button) is a must-have for our Summer parties. However, just to be safe and avoid a nipplegate, I recommend to wear a bodysuit under it.

Retro style is also celebrated this season ! Handknit cardigans, pumps with square toe…and satin skirts inspired by vintage lingerie are everywhere this Summer. Wear it with a men’s teeshirt to create contrast, or with a cami top for a very feminine allure.

Another trend initiated by Jacquemus ! Heels become jewels, with stones, gold spheres, geometric shapes…A fun way to bring originality to our outfits.

The trend is still on ! Wearing your Summer sandals with socks (yes, even with white sport socks, you are not dreaming) is not a fashion faux pas anymore. And it is a great trick to be able to wear our Summer shoes in March!
