Coaching: finding your style and being confident
Monday 26 November 2018
I have been a Personal Shopper for a few years now, and I have noticed one thing: it is crucial to KNOW and define your style, identify what fits your personality, to create your perfect wardrobe.
The majority of us follow fashion trends without second thoughts, while you should always ask yourself:
-Do I like this trend?
-Will this piece look good on me?
-Does it fit my personality, does it look like me?
-Will I feel good, at ease. while wearing this outfit?
Being stylish goes beyond wearing fancy clothes: it’s an attitude full of confidence WHILE wearing them. And you just can’t make that up, that’s why your clothes should be in line with your true self and what defines you.
They say “don’t judge a book by its cover”, however your clothes are the first thing that people will see, and should be used as a powerful way of communication and expression to turn things in your favor. It’s also a remarkable tool to help you achieve your personal and professional goals!
If your style is too disconnected from your personality, it will betray you: you won’t feel at ease, and therefore will lose confidence, radiance and credibility.
A very basic example would be a woman wearing high heels that she can’t walk with, because she usually prefers to wear flat shoes.
On the other hand, if your outfits are aligned with your true self, you will feel more confident, comfortable, which will significantly improve your social skills and help you reach your goals! Who never felt ready to conquer the world wearing their “power outfit”?
But…it’s getting harder and harder to find your own style. With our bodies changing, the endless fashion trends, the influencers that we follow and that inspire us, it’s easy to get lost. That’s why I am now offering a new personalized coaching service, that will focus on finding your true style, and identify the assets that will make you FEEL confident and not only LOOK confident.
Here are a few tips to start the process to find your own style:
– Simplify your wardrobe by narrowing it down to 34 pieces (without the coat, shoes or accessories).
– Before you dress up each morning, ask yourself how you want to feel today, and how you want others to see you.
